I am in love with this rug! I joke with my fiancé that it is the thing I love most in our apartment. It very stylish and looks great with our burnt orange velvet sofa. Other reviews have brought this up, but the stripes are definitely charcoal, which is happens to be fine for us. I recommend a rug pad. No issues with the smell and it flattened out within a day or so.
