My Life in Words is a writing-healing curriculum for individuals who are incarcerated or returning into society. The workbook guides a student inmate to uncover their personal life journey through a variety of writing exercises. The workbook may be instructor-led or could be used as a self-study guide. It was produced by a communications executive who has spent more than 15 years in corrections and who also volunteers as a teacher and mentor to women in prison and jail. The writing exercises help uncover areas in a student's life that may be in need of healing or acceptance, so the individual can gain a greater sense of emotional freedom.
