Easy Southern layer cake cake slicer!

This is not a heavy duty cake slicer, but it is inexpensive, even with shipping, easy to clean , effective and easy to use. I have only used this on lighter cakes, not the heavier and moist cakes (like a fudge cake. or banana bread. But for the Southern layer cakes ( the ones with 7- 10 layers, with burnt caramel or homeade icing between the layers! As I don't make these kinds of cakes often, this little do-hickey is a quick hack. so yes, I can recommend it.

Cake leveler.

As soon as I took it out of the box, it felt flimsy. I tried using it to level a carrot cake, and it seemed to rip up my cake. Not sure if it only works on cakes with no added solid ingredients, but for me, it didn't work well. I had to use a knife.
