Runleader Digital Hour Meter Tachometer HM011E Maintenance Reminder Lawn Mower Gas Powered Equipment

I bought two meters, one for my pressure washer and one for my lawn mower, While the tachometer function seems to work well, I haven't yet used it for an idle adjustment or to monitor blade speed. I did want to keep track of hours on the engine, since I change oil regularly but don't want to waste money changing too often (I use full synthetic). Installation consists of finding a mounting place, sticking / bolting / zip tying the meter to that location, then running a sensor wire to the spark plug wire. Make four wraps of the sensor wire around the spark plug wire, secure both ends tightly with zip ties, then cut off the excess. Then press the switches in order to set the engine type (in my case "one cylinder, 4 cycle") and you are done. Start the engine, read the RPM directly off the meter. After six minutes, the meter will advance from 0.0 hours to 0.1 hours, so you know all is working well.
