Thes mount much more securely than the 9" version and they have the nightlight. I used these to replace ugly builder grade fixtures, glad I did. They look a lot better and offer variety from the switch. Wouldn't recommend for a room larger than 15' X 15'.

The draw for me was asthetics, tempature control, and dimming (but you've got to get a switch too). Not really impressed with how they mount to the metal bracket, definitely not secure. The bigger and smaller sizes have a highlight feature which is cool.
