Excellent controller!!!

Bought this controller one month ago and am compelled to share how great it is. The flexibility to use this controller with so many devices is a huge plus for me use with the Nintendo Switch to Android controller works flawlessly. Easy to update firmware (follow instructions) have solved any issues with vibration feeling with the Switch. Love the nostalgia look and feel with wireless abilities are truly amazing would highly recommend this to anyone. No disappointments.

Two Minor problems that became Major

8bitdo makes wonderful controllers and they are great for emulators on your PC/Mac. So when 8bitdo announce this controller to be used for the Switch, I was really excited as it would be holding a retro controller for use on a modern day gaming system. After charging up the controller for a couple of hours and pairing the controller for use on the Switch, the first minor problem became apparent and that was the controller doesn't wake up the switch if it is in sleep mode. At first this doesn't seem major as you just wake up the switch by pressing the power button on the switch instead but if you are lazy like me and after plopping down on the couch you get use to having everything automatic turn on like hitting the home button and the switch, the tv and the receiver powers up, then this is a major problem. If you use another controller to power up the switch, then this SN30 becomes a second player controller if you hit a button. This might be corrected in the future with a firmware update. The second minor problem is the vibration. When playing Mario Odyssey, the controller started to vibrate which is great but the intensity and noise of the vibration wasn't subtle like the Nintendo pro controllers or the joy cons, instead you get this loud and very vibratory toy in your hands. This at first was a very minor problem but when activating the binoculars to look around, the persistent vibration and noise made this controller into a toy like cheap imitation of the nintendo controllers. If you can overlook the two minor problems, then the feel and retro looks of this controller is amazing. It brings back nostalgia and it makes you feel like curling up in the corner of your couch playing your favorite mario/zelda game on your SNES. It does work with your Switch so props to 8bitdo.
