I've used several power tools over the years, but never had a reason to use a nail gun or stapler before. Since I've been doing different types of home improvement, the opportunity to try this came at a great time. I do not have an air compressor for heavy duty tools, so the ability to use a battery operated one is much preferred and appreciated. No noisy compressor to deal with or being unable to reach a place because you are tethered to a compressor unit. This unit comes with two batteries, which is great. You can charge up one while you use the other battery. No waiting in between due to a dead battery. Been there a few times for sure. This unit also is equip for nails and staples, which is convenient and money saving. It comes with several nails and staples in the case, they are easy to load and switch out as you need it. The loading mechanism is easy to use and reloading is easy. It has a good weight to it, light enough to use one handed but bulky enough to feel very durable and well built. Feels like using a power drill in weight comparison.

The Freeman 2-in-1 18GA cordless nailer/stapler is a do it yourselfer's small project dream machine. This nail gun shoots 18GA brad nails in lengths of 3/4 inch to 2 inch long and 18GA ¼ inch wide narrow staples in lengths of 3/4 inch to1-5/8 inch long. The tool is easy to load and use. If you happen to get a jam with nail or staple there is sufficient room to easily remove it. The tool has LED work lights on each side of the firing tip that is great for dark corners. The tool also has an LED indicator light on the side that glows different colors and flashes to indicate a jam, low battery, overheating and out of nails/staples. Depth adjustment is accomplished by simply turning a wheel left or right without needing a wrench. The tool can be fired in single shot or bump shot mode. In bump fire mode you should be able to fire a maximum of 30 fasteners per minute. The magazine holds a strip of 100 fasteners. It will fire up to 400 fasteners per battery charge. Batteries fully recharge in 45 minutes. This tool comes in a kit that includes the gun, 2 lithium batteries, one quick charger, 2 Allen wrenches, a few sample brad nails and sample staples all in a plastic carry case. Additional Freeman fasteners are available at Walmart or any home improvement store. The cost of this kit is competitive to other cordless 2-in-1 nailer/staplers on the market. The convenience of this tool makes it a DIY must have! I must also give the factory customer service department a thumbs up here. When I got my tool the plastic carry case was cracked. I sent an email to freemantools.com asking how I could get it replaced. In just 13 minutes a customer service rep emailed me back. He apologized for the case being broken and asked for my shipping address so he could send me a new one. I think that was the fastest any problem was resolved in my life!
