Lightweight, durable, FAST -- backlit keyboard YES

If you're like me and were wading through the reviews trying to determine what features this model actually comes with it DOES NOT have a fingerprint scanner, but IT DOES have a back-lit keyboard. A huge upgrade over the 13" Chromebook I have had for years. This one is larger but lighter, and has a full metal case which means it should be extra durable. The screen is large and bright, though you might need to scale up on the resolution to read small text -- even at 15.6", 1080p is a lot of pixels! So far with some light gaming, installing all my apps and getting some work done the battery has lasted a good long time. Fully charged and I still have 6 hours left. I love the 10-key and it will make typing notes and documents so much easier. This is a newer Chromebook which means you can enable Linux and also install android apps from the play store which gives it a ton of versatility. I have used my Chromebook mainly as a couch surfing computer, youtube watching, document editing, video conferencing, travel computer when I don't need my full rig. I am hoping this new machine will be another workhorse for several years.

I searched intentionally for a Chrome OS computer and this one had been great. We currently use it for homeschooling and it has been fast and easy to use. Although I haven't looked to see if they can be moved yet, my son (6yo) accidentally clicks on the icons at the bottom because that is also where his "Continue" button is on his school program.
