Veradek is a top brand and honestly, I was surprised to see it for such a great price at Walmart. It is a great looking, heavy duty (durable) piece. It is lightweight because it is empty with the exception of a shelf about 12' from the top. It's perfect for my front door where I sank a pot of purple grass (for now). If I'm concerned about it being top heavy or it surviving during windy storm season, I'm going to place a few bricks in the bottom to weight it down. It really could go traditional, modern, etc. and the possibilities are endless.

Veradek V-Resin Taper Tall Planter - Black - 30 in: My wife planted a gardenia tree in it and she is very impressed with it. It is very durable and able to handle the weight of the soil and tree with no issues. The plate thing that comes with it makes it so you can lift the plant to a good level so that you do not have to fill the entire thing with soil just to get the plant lifted above the top of the planter. The inside plate seals pretty good so no soil will be lost along the sides. It is nice and heavy enough to be durable but not too heavy where it is hard to move. I have not had many other planters like this so I am not sure what it compared to the other ones but it is very good quality and the amount of time we have had it and that it has been in the sun, I have not seen any discoloration or fading. It is very stable, our kids have ran into it a couple of times and it has not fallen over. It holds the weight of the tree and soil very easily.
