Very sturdy, well designed bed frame.

Very sturdy, well designed bed frame. It sits low to the ground, with about 10 inches of clearance, to store items under. At first, going to return, because it was then going into a different room and thought a different color and cheaper bed would do. But this bed may be a little more expensive but it's very solid/sturdy (heavier) and packaged very well, a lot of thought behind, and the color (black wood) ended up looking well in this bedroom too. Happy we ended up keeping it. Also, to let know, the company was very good at getting back with concerns, they were polite and helpful. The frame has metal slats, and to be safe we put something between the mattress and slats. We used inexpensive plywood cut to size with a covering around the plywood, so as not to damage the bed frame slats or mattress. We are very happy we purchased this bed frame. Looks just like the pictures in ad.
