Oh my goodness, the leather is so soft and supple! The zipper pockets aren't large enough for my cell phone, which is okay because there is a pocket inside the main compartment for it. I can easily fit my car keys into one of the zipper pockets and gum or mints in the other. I love and recommend this bag.
