Rubber-Cal’s EPDM rubber material is a versatile product with superior resistance to intense physical conditions. This synthetic sheet rubber is made of a combination of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and styrene butadiene rubber to inherit the strengths of both materials. The addition of SBR gives this synthetic rubber material a high level of physical durability and endurance for use in demanding applications. This EPDM sheet rubber has a 60A durometer, meaning that it is fairly hard, but still retains reasonable flex and pliability. This elastomer sheeting is the perfect material to be used for commercial and industrial pads and bumpers, among many other possible applications. The key feature of EPDM rubber sheeting is its outstanding range of resistance. These tough sheets of rubber have excellent durability against damaging weather conditions. While other many other synthetic elastomers fail under prolonged exposure to elements such as UV rays, ozone, and moisture, this commercial EPDM is specially designed to handle such extreme physical conditions. Beyond its outdoor abilities, this hard sheet rubber also stands up to several chemicals, ranging from acetone to nitrates. Qualities like this intense chemical resistance make synthetic rubbers ideal for industrial locations which might expose the thick rubber sheets to potentially corrosive substances. This chemical-resistant EPDM also has a wide temperature range and performs well in temperatures from -40° F to 212° F, making it perfect for extreme industrial or outdoor temperatures. Our ethylene propylene elastomer sheeting is available in eight different gauges ranging from 1/32” to 1/2" to fit the needs of any desired application. This 3/16" sheet rubber is one of the slightly thicker options available and works great in a variety of indoor and outdoor applications. These highly resistant rubber sheets are also available in a variety of different sizes and can be cut down for even more possible applications, such as making artificial rubber seals and gaskets.
