I'm falling in love with this new Asus ROG Strix Hero II at the first sight. The Chassis design is outstanding with highlighted QWER keys, great RGB backlit keyboard. Asus said that the keyboard is designed to last over 20 million strokes .. that will last me a while and don't have to worry about the keys wearing out ... The Hero II has super slim bazels which are just slightly more than 2mm thick (omg!) Screen resolution is 1080p with 144hz refresh rate, 3ms respond time and the best part is, IPS panel whcic gives great color and view angle, one of the fastest laptop monitor on the market. Picture is so vivid and smooth that I barely see any ghosting or lag while playing fortnite. Mouse pad is decently big with left and right clickers. Bootup speed is amazing fast with it's 256gb ssd and also 1TB HDD for your extra storage. It took only about 5 sec to bootup to window from off status and game loading time is very fast too. The Coolest thing on this Hero II is all the RGB lighting in it's design. Adjustable RGB strip in the front under the mouse clickers, RGB keyboard, brushed aluminium finish on the back with ROG logo which is also RGB... Can all be adjust by pre-installed software (ROG Gaming center). Installed with integrated 802.11ac wireless card on board with range boost technology which should maximumize the range of receiving wifi signals. There is a SD card reader and 1xUSB on the right side. Power port, 1xethernet , 1xmini display-port, 1xHDMI 2x USB and 1xUSB-C and 1x3.5mm headphone jack on the left. Sound quality is amazing ... probably the best comparing to other gaming laptop. It's loud and clear with decent bass. It's Hypercool Thermo system has 3 power mode to control the cooling of the CPUand GPU. Quite mode for web surfing, Standard mode for youtube or watching movies and performance mode for gaming. The Hero II comes with pretty big heat sink in the back so no worries about overheating. One little weird thing about the laptop is how they moved the webcam below the screen to compensate the slim bazels but im totally ok with that... Just need to slim down my chin if i ever want to do live streaming with this laptop. In conclusion, the ROG Hero II GL504 is probably the most powerful overall gaming laptop on the market now with 8 series i7 cpu, 16gb ddr4 ram, 15"6 IPS 144hz refresh rate panel, GTX1060 gpu card with 6gb ram, 256 SSD. Even though it weights slightly over 5lbs, it's considered very acceptable as a gaming laptop especially with the power that it rocks. This laptop is probably is the best you can get at this price point. (You can defintely say there's 1070 out there but the price will be off the rader...) I will definitely want one for myself and i'm sure this will last me a long while. I am writing this review as part of a contest
