This bed exceeded all expectations!! My husband had no issues assembling it, and it looks so pretty in my daughter' “big girl”bedroom. We purchased a 10 inch mattress for it and it's perfect, but a 12 inch would be fine too I'm sure. I really can't recommend this more, it's an amazing bed for the price.
