5/A Baker Medium Weight 200 Gram Turn Out Blanket is both waterproof and breathable. The warm 5/A Baker Medium Weight Turn Out has 200 grams of Curvofil IV insulation. This is certainly the warmest and most versatile winter 5/A Baker blanket. Its features include gusseted shoulders, bias surcingles, elastic leg straps and a tailpiece. The outer shell is a 1,500-denier polyester rip stop fabric that can take an incredible amount of abuse while the satin smooth lining polishes the horse's coat. A waterproof/breathable membrane bars water penetration yet allows water vapor from perspiration to pass through to the outside. The horse stays warm, dry, and comfortable.

Top notch quality

I have many Baker products and they stand out in terms of quality and fit. My 16.3h Shire/Holsteiner cross stays warm and dry despite frequent rolling in the pastures and Ohio's cold and wet wInters. The buckles are sturdy and easy to use. The blanket washes well in Teflon safe detergent. The only con is that the liner causes static but a little static guard or a spritz of diluted fabric softener sprayed on eliminates that.

Great blanket!

This is my new horse with his new blanket. He is 17.2 and the 84 fits perfect. Most of the horses at my barn have this blanket. It is made well, very durable and looks great. Apple loved it, too!

Very warm turnout

Bought this with the matching turnout sheet as my horse put a lot of muscle on his shoulder over the summer and was bursting out of his Amigos. I got it in the same size as his Amigo, and it looks to be about a full size larger on him particularly in the shoulder (which is what I had wanted). I got it in a 400 fill which is very warm! But he goes outside overnight so I opted for the heavy over the medium. So far it has proved plenty breathable so even those nights where he might not quite need a heavy, he isn't sweating in it. The blanket is cut just the slightest bit fuller then the sheet and as such fits identical to the turnout sheet despite the extra fill.
