Generac 6520 5.6KVA Air-Cooled Standby Generator, Steel Enclosure

This 7500 kvw generator was highly recommended by my electrician who has the same one at his house and did a show and tell for me. I liked all the features,it ran quietly and is priced right for me. The proof will be in the future as it was just installed and has not yet performed for an outage. I live in upstate NY and we have severe winters. I'm anxious to see how well it works in our environment. We lose power frequently.

We recently completed three vacation rentals on St Croix in the USVI. We are completely off-grid with a 7 kW solar array and Schneider MPPT's inverter and Automatic Generator Switch (AGS) This has been a DIY construction project including all of the setup and configuration of the solar system. We support three mini-split AC units, one for each building, as well as standard electrical demand. We purchased the 7.5 kW PowerPact from Generac to support our property when the load out paces our battery storage. As a DIY project, we were able to convert it to propane, set up tanks and gas lines and connect it to our inverter in less than a day. We also set up two wire auto start with our AGS from Schneider. The unit has functioned flawlessly from the very first moment we installed it. Our Generac 7.5 Powerpact generator has been a great addition to give us peace of mind that our off-grid setup will never be without ample power!
