audible alarm

The unit performs nicely. directions sometimes not easy to follow i.e. changing time (not listed) as far as could see. My biggest problem is the audible alarms. Not loud enough. Can not hear them when under power or sailing.

Thank you for the review! We offer a network alarm repeater device, part number A80614, that can be installed into your boat's SeaTalk NG network that repeats many of the system alarms generated by Axiom as well as instruments, radar, autopilot, AIS and many more items. This compact module is waterproof and can be installed just about anywhere. The alarm repeater is very loud, greater than 85 dB (A) so it can heard over engine noise, wind, music, etc. Your Axiom also has Bluetooth audio output. If you happen to have a Bluetooth capable audio device or speaker onboard you could connect Axiom to it. Alarms generated by Axiom are also sounded over Bluetooth.

Great units (I have 2x12" and a 7" Axiom for radar) that have worked reliably since their purchase soon after the original release. Had a problem with the RV212s but fixed with a Raymarine replacement. Would be great if surface elevation could be subtracted from standard Chirp to remove wave action when searching for small features.

Thank you for the review, sir. I will make a feature request to our product team regarding the surface elevation. Axiom's RealVision 3D transducer does have an attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) sensor inside and is measuring the boats movements. I will ask what might be possible for using it further to smooth the CHIRP sonar image. Currently, that sensor is utilized in the RealVision 3D presentation when GPS Track mode is enabled. The sensor is used to more accurately render the bottom and detect when the boat changes course.
