The fabric is as it appeared on my monitor. Linen look. Fabric seems durable. I selected these chairs over some others because of the removable cushions The back cushion is removable and reversible. The seat cushion is removable, but NOT reversible- bottom side is a different fabric and is held in place with velcro. This was very disappointing to discover. The back of the chair, above the arms, is a separate piece. It is wrapped with the same fabric. It is attached with both hinges and velcro. It does provide extra support for the back cushion, but when leaning or moving in the chair , one can hear the velcro. I am hoping this stops over time. I prefer a firm seat- this one is extra firm. Not uncomfortable, but not comfortable either! I had hoped to use as a reading chair, but not likely given the overly firm seat. Both of my adult children have tried it out and said it is not comfortable. They will be overflow occasional seating only.
