Wells Lamont Men's Performance Utility Ripstop Cargo Work Short

Durable and great fitting cargo shorts, these are very comfortable, breathable, and a nice deep slate grey color. These are great shorts for work or recreation. These run true to size. The quality of the construction on these is superb. Looks like the seams are locked stitched to prevent fraying, are single stitched right at the seam and then double stitched back for finish, making the seams really tough and flat. Pockets are lock stitched then folded in and single stitched then folded back and stitched again to give a smooth finish inside the pocket and the pants so it doesn't irritate your skin and the inside the pocket is a clean and smooth. Ripstop fabric has a grid pattern which allows the fabric to be thin and breathable but the grid pattern reinforces the fabric to prevent rips. Fabric is light enough and wicks sweat to keep me cool and is made from 98% cotton. Overall it seems they've put a lot of effort into making a pair of shorts that is well thought out on the outside and the inside. Outside they look great but inside there are no loose seams or rough spots that are going to irritate your skin. As with cargo shorts, these have plenty of pockets plus two pockets on the front of the front lower pockets for tools or other items and an extra pocket in the front right top pocket for your keys or cell phone (my 5.5”x3” cell phone easily fits and doesn't fall out when I sit). All closing pockets are easy to open and close Velcro. I've been wearing these around and on some short hikes and just love the fit and comfort. Love the second pocket in the front right pocket to keep my phone for easy access and not have my keys mar the phone. I'd never had Wells Lamont clothing before but can see why they've been in business for well over a hundred years. These are some very well made shorts that can highly recommend for hiking but seem they would just be at home, if not more, in the shop. Try a pair of these and you won't regret it. A well-made, great fitting, quality pair of shorts that are built to last.
