From that day on, worry has never left me. I recently found his diary. And from his entries I made this film. To cut one's losses means to sacrifice what seems trivial to save what is essential. Asbestos protected from nearly everything, at a low cost, for maximum profit, which was essential. The risks to public health were known but ignored. Its massive use kept feeding a terrible fire, less immediate, less visible, insidious. This film explores a fire that can no longer be ignored. My father was only one of many victims.
