I put two together and weave colored ribbon thru the spaces before filling with newborn items for Family First Newborn Mom Baskets! The moms can then use them for laundry baskets (babies have lots of laundry) and use the ribbons for hair ties, bows into pins on clothing, and gift wrapping. Family First is a non denominational Christian 501C non profit fully volunteer organization helping and educating moms, children and families in many aspects of safe, efficient, productive living and more.

I've always purchased Walmart's round plastic clothes baskets exclusively so that I can easily stack them and they take up minimal space. I use a combination of these 1 bushel baskets and a larger size that is maybe 3 bushels. The small baskets fit within the large baskets. Apparently Walmart and every other store no longer stocks this type of basket, large or small. I was thrilled to find them on Walmart.com. I like that the grid design on the sides of the baskets allows for plenty of ventilation. The plastic is easy to keep clean. They last forever. They're very lightweight (but sturdy) and smooth,so they don't snag laundry. I only had a couple of the small baskets so I'm adding more to my collection, not replacing the old. I didn't need 12 baskets but it was much less expensive than buying what is available in-store to replace all of my clothes baskets so that they could all be the same shape. I'm a function over form person, but the design of the newer styles of clothes baskets seem to sacrifice utility for style. Each to his own.
