Soraya Sunflower outcome

I started with seedling trays for the Soraya before the last frost date but never put them in the ground until they transitioned to solo cups and then to half gallon pots to grow out their roots. It seemed very promising when they were root bound in half gallon containers. Come April I put them in the ground and they have been very slow to grow outside all the other different sunflowers that are being grown an went through the same process. It is the middle of May and they are just starting to branch up and poke their heads out. Very leggy and small heads. What have I done wrong? Next to them are Chianti's, Earth Walkers and Autumn Beauties, all done at the same time with the same process, and in the same soil that are extremely taller and much bigger leaves. Even the Big smiles and Teddy Bears (that only get two to three feet) that are also in the mix have much bigger heads and flowers and they are much shorter than them. Let me know if I am missing something. They are beautiful but tiny. Is this normal? Is there any way I can help them?

Soraya seeds

I planted the soraya seeds but only half sprouted out so I planted more seeds in hopes that there will be a few more plants. At this time, plants are too small to even know if I will get some flowers.
