Our Story: Kamaal Jarrett was born in Cypress Hall, a small town high atop the Red Hills of Kingston, Jamaica. He was taught to appreciate the simple things in life. In time, his family moved to Massachusetts and that?s when his passion for food took hold. While watching endless hours of cooking shows and helping his aunt in her Caribbean restaurant, he came to appreciate the two cultures that raised him. After college, Kamaal became a financial analyst but never stopped dreaming about being an entrepreneur with food as his focus. Hillside Harvest was created to merge American and Caribbean cultures and recipes. His goal remains to introduce people to unique flavors and develop dynamic sauces that enhance every dish.
