I love these dishes! I bought these for the cups, which I adore. They are a nice size 20 oz, feel good cupped in the hand and the slight inward curve at the top helps keep spills down, always a good thing. They are not quite as big as they looked on TV, but big enough. They are thinner and lighter than I expected, more china-like than heavy stonewareish, although they say they are stoneware, just know if you are expecting heavy, thick pieces, these aren't. I'm glad I bought the whole set, the bowls are elegant, and the plate pattern is classic so these mix and match with my aqua floral
