I planted Alyssum seeds in pots. They sprouted strongly in the Spring so I bought another package of seed thinking I could use them in other potted plants as a low-growing accompaniment. However, the many sprouts I saw initially died off. (Having grown these in flowerbeds in the past, I suspect they didn't take to the richer potting soil.) However, the fact that they sprouted at all led me to believe I was "home free" in terms of seeing at least some of the plants flower (none did!). My first purchase from this seed supplier consisted of "Carpet of Snow" (white flowers) whereas the second seed purchase "Basket of Gold", consisted of yellow Alyssum (also from the same supplier here on Walmart). What ended up coming up is a low-growing, flowerless plant that doesn't look anything like Alyssum. I have attached a photo of what sprung up in the multiple pots where I sewed "Alyssum". If somebody can identify what actually grew, please let me know so I can better communicate with the supplier about resolving this issue since I can't very well dig up the seed and return it to Walmart!
