The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 12 Years Old forms part of our Triple Cask Matured range; a series of single malt whiskies crafted in a triple cask combination of European and American sherry seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon oak casks. This complex combination of oak casks delivers an extraordinarily smooth and delicate character, full of citrus fruits, vanilla and fresh oak. Macallan's Triple Cask range was launched in 2018, taking the place of the Fine Oak range. This is the entry level expression from the series, matured for 12 years and drawn from a combination of European sherry seasoned casks, American sherry seasoned casks and American ex-bourbon casks. Nose: Rich aromas of vanilla, dried fruits, and a hint of citrus with subtle oak notes. Palate: A smooth, rich mouthfeel with flavors of caramel, toffee, and spices, balanced by dried fruits and a touch of oak. Finish: A lingering finish with notes of sweet spice and oak, making it warm and satisfying.
