Works great once you know the trick...

I read reviews ahead of this purchase and was torn between the WORX and B&D unit. I liked this one because it had a longer reach and universal mount for various blowers looked as if it would work better than the WORX. The reviews overwhelmingly said that the band that attaches the unit to the blower was inadequate, and those reviews were spot on. It doesn't work very well. So - here's the trick.... Add a hose clamp to the set up and the blower works great. Should it work better without the additional clamp? For sure. But the rest of the design is very good. I would give 5 stars for a better mounting design but don't count this one out if you're up for adding a hose clamp.

Not up to Black & Decker Standards

The quality is lacking. As mentioned in another review, the connection to the blower is inadequate and it won't stay attached to the blower very long. When it does stay on it performs as expected. I will be purchasing a clamp as suggested by another reviewer. I would think the engineers at B&D could come up with an attachment that fits on the blower stub same as their tube to blow leaves
