Q: How is your LiFePO4 100Ah battery 22lbs while other batteries are 30lbs? Am I getting less capacity?
A: LiFePO4 is a type of dry-cell battery unlike Sealed Lead Acid batteries whose capacity is rated by the amount of liquid electrolyte surrounding the electrodes. The weight difference doesn't come from chemicals or the electrode metals inside a cell as they are lightweight (lithium and graphite) but from the metal materials used to manufacture the cell cases.
Our 100Ah battery consists of 8-piece 3.2V 50A cells compared to 20-piece 3.2V 20A cells or 40-piece 3.2V 10A cells in other leading manufacturer's batteries.
The carefully crafted design reduces total weight down to an incredible 22lbs while providing a clever increase to voltage stability.
