I ordered these seeds from WalMart's website, even though the order was going to—and being shipped by—a third-party company. I have had several bad experiences with WalMart's third party companies.
Still, my Shishito Pepper seeds from TomorrowSeeds.com arrived in a timely fashion, and the quantity of seeds was correct. Yes, I counted all 100 seeds. I'm going to grow them in one of my AeroGardens, but not right away, so I don't know if they are viable seeds, but I assume they are, because they appear to be great, healthy seeds. They are packed in tiny clear cellophane square envelopes, which is NOT the fancy airtight, light-blocking, ziploc, foil packaging that you get from the big seed suppliers, and they cost as much as those fancy foil packaged seeds, but shishito pepper seeds are not that easy to find, so I took a chance. I have grown shishito peppers in my Aerogardens before, and I harvested way more than a hundred peppers from one plant. Simplistic packaging aside, I am fully satisfied with these seeds, based on appearance, quantity, and delivery timeliness. PLUS, TomorrowSeeds.com included a free pack of 25 Heirloom Sunflower seeds, which I wasn't expecting. I happen to have a small-ish bed of Sunflowers by my garage, so I will be able to see how well the Sunflowers do. They were free, and unannounced, but I will be able to plant them and I think that that was a nice, value-added, addition to my order.
Maybe Tomorrow Seeds is a small beginning seed supplier. It's hard to go up against the Goliath seed companies, who can afford the fancy packaging. I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, especially since the seeds look so healthy. They are large and plump. They look very fresh. I hope for the best, and if I get a really healthy, high producing plant from their seeds, then I will order from them again, but I will deal will them directly, and not through WalMart.
