It's the portion(s) size for my one year old! I have the Avanchy small bowl since he was 6 months and I loved it! But now that he is older this plate is much better.

I like the set , wish they had a red color versus magenta . Plate washes easily , sadly this is not microwaveable. I do love the spoon , perfect size . Make sure not to soak or leave the spoon in water as it may become unglued.
