Eruptive fun for geology class! The Investigating Volcanoes Kit will allow students to be earth science detectives as they read and try out experiments that explore geophysical events that occur during volcanic eruptions. Students will be able to conduct directions, observe, and interpret demonstrations that teach geological content. The included USGS (United States Geological Survey) book (titled Eruptions of Mount St. Helens: Past, Present, and Future) contains 96 pages and 76 classroom-tested activities, teacher information,, and student work pages. Ash sample (sealed in transparent bag) from 1980 eruption is included for a hands-on aid. Kit is best for Middle School to High School levels. Kit not for ages 3 and under.
