I love these eWriter tablets! A year ago a friend got a similar one for my daughter for her birthday. It was smaller and did not have a case, so it was harder to bring in the car, because my daughter hated when the screen was accidentally marked on. This one is larger and the case is so amazing to keep their drawings closed and safe during transport! This is such a great tool for parents to have for car rides, waits in restaurants, and anywhere you need to entertain a child with their imagination. It uses small button batteries, and they last a really long time. The stylus pen attaches easily with a small hole in the tip, if you need to keep it attached for littles. Or it just clicks easily in the holding slot for older kiddos. The case flips for a kickstand so they can display their artwork. We have not used this feature, but one thing this board has that her old one didn't is that you can save the drawings by downloading the app and scanning. Honestly, I think every kid should have one of these. It's so fun to see their little minds being creative and drawing, or writing and making little games to entertain themselves instead of causing trouble, whining, or defaulting to zoning out on technology in situations where a short wait is necessary.
