Not bad

I received this as a gift. It was pretty easy to put together. It runs off a 9 volt battery. I have had difficulty orientating it to the stars. You have to find 3 stars, which the manual says most everyone knows. I have never heard of any of the choices. The laster finder is pretty accurate. The pictures on the box pretty much represent what you can see. I did notice a problem when using the more powerful eyepiece that any wind causes the unit to shake. One other problem is the 9 volt battery seems to not be enough. When the unit moves or talks it seems like there isn't enough power. There is no option for an external power source. Yes, I have tried other brand new batteries. Overall it isn't a bad telescope, though it isn't one I would have picked out.

telescope

the only problem I have is that it moves to easy when you go to look at an object after getting it alined --it does not lock into place so when you go to look into the scope it shifts to easy otherwise all works ok for now
