Pharmapatient is an anonymous patient using the National Health Service in England. Not much is known about Pharmapatient other than the few glimpses seen through this book: a partner, some children and the frequenting of GP practices and pharmacies. It is the last of these that forms the basis for the stories and opinions expressed in the book. The author takes us on a journey that goes through frustration at being seen as just another medical statistic, the profundity of the life-saving work provided by health professionals and the consideration of how efficiently different parts of the National Health Service are run.
