The great piece of hardware

Bought this about 2 months ago for my MacBook Pro 2017, works like a charm, 60hz is a huge difference for my eyes comfort compared to 30hz which most of cheaper adapters provide (including official from Apple). Just plugged it in and it works, no additional overhead (except setting 60hz in display settings)

No air required...

Worked as described. IPad hard wired through this dongle to TV. We downloaded Episodes of current Netflix and Prime before going camping. No stress on their iffy WIFI and we could use as the weather dictated. Cool.....

Mostly works well

I have a 2017 27" 5K iMac. I needed to connect my several year old ViewSonic external monitor with DVI only inputs. I purchased this adapter and an HDMI to DVI cable. Most of the time this combination works great. However about half the time when the iMac wakes from sleep or on boot up, the ViewSonic shows snow/static (random noise). To fix, I have to hit the power button on the ViewSonic to power it off and back on. Not sure if the issue is with the iMac, the Belkin adapter, or the monitor. Using the same monitor with my old 2011 iMac with Thunderbolt to DVI adapter (apple), I never had any issues.
