The box does not have detailed instructions so you have to figure it out for yourself. The instructions tell you how to break the metal piece to fit it into the door but it doesn't tell you how to put the 2 handles onto the door or which way to position the handle for right and left sliding doors. Overall good quality but if you have no idea what you are doing it will take a long time to install. I would have given it a higher rating if proper instructions had been given.
