Each pair of speakers can be independently turned on or off using push buttons on the front panel, with no need for worrying about amplifier loading. One worked and one didn't
Ordered 2 of these units only to have one of them have bad electronics where only one channel of a stereo pair worked. Of the 6 channels available, only 4 worked properly. Fortunately, the 2nd unit worked as expected. Company was easy to work with and sent me an RMA and I would receive the replacement today. The electronics for this kind of switch should be pretty basic and shouldn't fail out of the box.
