Rubber-Cal’s Cloth Inserted SBR is a reinforced rubber material designed for industrial machinery and fastening applications. This general-purpose elastomer sheeting is made up of an artificial rubber called styrene butadiene rubber and has a polyester fabric insert for increased strength. Rubber SBR is known for its outstanding resistance to heat, moisture, and heavy abrasions, making it the perfect synthetic rubber material for industrial applications. This is thanks to the smooth finish and enhanced durability gained by the solid rubber in the vulcanization process. This hard sheet rubber has a durometer of 70A to give it a stiff surface with minimal pliability, while the cloth insert prevents stretch and maintains the rubber material’s form. This is great for fastening applications, as the solid rubber sheets will not deform or wear down from the stress of machinery. Our cloth-inserted rubber performs well in temperatures between -10° F and 190° F for intense dependability, even in extreme temperatures. The reinforced elastomer will not be worn down or weakened from prolonged exposure to heat, moisture, or weather effects such as UV and ozone. This makes the SBR sheets great for applications both indoors and outdoors, as the hard rubber sheets can withstand the roughest physical conditions without sacrificing performance. Like most rubbers, this reliable elastomer sheeting has excellent ability to absorb shock and vibrations, which allows the material to soften impacts, reduce movement, and muffle sound. Rubber also enhances traction between surfaces, ensuring a safe and secure fit in any application. While synthetic elastomers are already favored for their superior durability, the key feature of this thick sheet rubber is actually the polyester fabric insert. This 1/4” rubber sheet is the thickest of four gauges available and features 3-plies of fabric reinforcement. This aids the sheet rubber maintaining its shape and resisting deformation when used under repeated stress. By combining the resilience of SBR rubber with the subtle strength of polyester, the result is a tough and tear-resistant synthetic rubber that is great for a vast possibility of applications. Whether it is used for industrial liners, pavement maintenance, or cut down to make flaps, this fabric-reinforced rubber sheet is designed to withstand the most extreme physical conditions.
