With this album, pianist and composer John Tesh returns to a more intimate format after two fully orchestrated releases, LIVE AT RED ROCKS and AVALON. Although complimented by guitar, drums, saxophone, and strings, Tesh's passionate playing takes center stage throughout GRAND PASSION. As always, Tesh's piano work is lush and dramatic, often building to emotional crescendos, but capable of quiet, moving moments as well. Two songs include vocal performances, "Give Me Forever (I Do)," with James Ingram lending his inimitable voice; and the poignant "Mother I Miss You," which Tesh wrote for his late mother, which includes vocals by Dalia Reid.
