Gilmour Watering Heavy Duty Thumb Control Swivel Connect Nozzle

The Gilmour heavy duty hose nozzle is as versatile as any we have ever used. It offers 8 different spray patterns that will take you from a gentle mist for flowers to a solid stream suitable for blasting dirt from a mud caked garden tiller. Those different spray patterns are selected on a rotating ring on the front face of the nozzle that has a nice positive click when the pattern you want is selected. Unlike many spray nozzles of this ilk this one does not have a “trigger” to turn on the water flow. It has a lever on the top back edge which is used to control the water flow from off to full blast, comfortably controlled with your thumb. Many nozzles that look like this one only use that lever to set the water flow, and the trigger to turn on the flow. We have several old hose nozzles in our garage that no longer work due to the trigger failing to return the flow to off when released, so the lack of that trigger is seen as a plus by me as one less thing to fail. The last feature to be mentioned is the connection for the hose to the nozzle. Like with most nozzles this one has a female threaded connection, but what is unique about this one is that it has a mechanism that allows the nozzle to rotate freely even after the hose is secured tightly to the nozzle. We use commercial weight solid rubber hoses which are not prone to kinking but have a mind of their own so you can find the nozzle pointing in a direction you didn't want unless you manage to straighten the hose. This rotating coupling prevents that very easily. All in all this is a well made nozzle. The only thing that gives me any concern is that the previously mentioned ring, used to select the spray pattern, is plastic. I have a bad habit of dropping the hose and nozzle on the concrete driveway, which has at least with other nozzles, a tendency of breaking them. This one looks pretty solid but time will tell on that score.

Im very please with this nozzle. Theres different stream and spray settings. Theres no dropping. Its a very sturdy well .made nozzle that I can see lasting for a long time! Shipping was super fast. Im happy with purchase and would definitely recommend ☺
