The circumferential grooves in the tread pattern prevent dangerous hydroplaning by eliminating water from below the tire footprint, improving the model’s safety in wet weather conditions. The tire compound was manufactured with high levels of silica in it. This further improves the summer weather traction, especially the wet traction, of the tire, while also enhancing other aspects. The tire’s rolling resistance is lowered with the higher silica levels, which, in turn, decrease the fuel usage and CO2 emissions of the vehicle. The tire is more environmentally friendly, while also allowing a lower energy usage to achieve the same mileage.
