That is true, but you can find weight savings here as well by upgrading from the beadlock ring’s steel bolts to titanium beadlock bolts. Titanium beadlock bolts have equal, if not higher, tensile strength to the same size Grade 8 steel beadlock bolts at anywhere from 40-50 percent reduction in weight (depending upon bolt size). That adds up quick when you’re talking roughly 20 beadlock bolts per wheel on a single 15-inch beadlock wheel. If you run a larger diameter wheel or double beadlocks your weight savings will be even larger!
