Not true to size

Bought these in Slytherin 2 sizes bigger so my toddler could wear fit in it by Christmas but it fits her now. She wears 3T but the 5T shirt fits her right now while the pants I can say are the only true 5T size. Cute design, love the idea but the sizing is just not right

Inaccurate sizing

My son is 11 years old. I usually order PJs a size up due to shrinkage. So I ordered a 12. The pants looked good, but the shirt was way too small, SO I ordered a 14 Now the pants are about 6 inches too long (after washing both pairs) but we have a shirt that fits. What to do? Do I keep the 12 and have a snug fit shirt or keep the 14 and roll the pants? This is for him on Christmas Eve and I don't want to disappoint so I guess I keep both. Super frustrated, as I thought I was getting a good deal but now I just spent over $40 for one pair of Pj's that fit
