This helps in saving space and also keeping the parts safe. Assembly is easy with all the parts and assembly manual provided. Box springs or bunkie boards are required for the platform bed to function. These are not provided nor included in the set. Good bedframe for the price

This is a nice bed frame that was easy when it came to the assembly, also the instructions came on two pages with the items that went with the screws and bolts which helped me a lot. There is no box spring but there are slats and there aren't enough to make the mattress fit flat and firmly on the frame so you feel the slats underneath and you dip in the bed in the spaces where there are no slats so either a box spring or a flat thick board is necessary in order to make this bed comfortable. Also, it's low to the ground so you actually need a second mattress or box spring to give the bed height.
