KBS Rust Blast Removes and Neutralizes Rust; Can be used on the following surfaces: Steel, Galvanized Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Brass, Aluminum, Copper, Fiberglass, and Concrete.; Provides an etched surface profile to promote adhesion.; KBS Rust Blast works quickly and completely dissolves rust, corrosion, metal oxides, and tarnish. Just soak with, or even brush-on, Rust Blast. Rust Blast is water-based, non-flammable, biodegradeable and non-corrosive, yet is still efficient enought to etch surfaces and leave behind a zinc phosphate coating for adhesion promotion. Rust Remover also improves welding conductivity!KBS Rust Blast Directions for Use:For Ferrous Metal Surfaces: Surface to be treated should be free or dirt, oil, grease, and other contaminants. The cleaner the surface the more effective Rust Blast will be. Scrape off any loose rust, paint, and mill scale then clean with KBS Klean Surface Cleaner, use of other cleaners may leave behind invisible residue which may inhibit Rust Blast from working properly.Apply Rust Blast full strength to a completely dry surface using a spray bottle, brush, roller, or pump sprayer. Reapply as often as needed to keep the surface wet for a minimum of 10 minutes for light rust removal. For heavier rust keep the surface wet up to 2 hours or until rust is removed. Don't allow surface to dry before rinsing with water.For Non-Ferrous Metal Surfaces (such as brass, aluminum, and copper): Surface to be treated should be free or dirt, oil, grease, and other contaminants. Use KBS Klean Surface Cleaner to thoroughly clean the surface. Apply Rust Blast and allow to stand for 20 minutes then rinse completely with water and allow the surface to dry. Once dry, Rust Blast may leave a slight powder residue which is a zinc phosphate coating and is now ready for the finish coat of your choice.
