Nice lights, poorly designed

These are a great little surface mount LED set. Dual intensity and very light weight. However - the LED lights are almost invisible from the rear. But you can see them from the side. How come? They stuck a standard pyramid style reflector on top of the LED panel! All the light is refracted to about 30 degrees. I needed mine to be bright, directly from the rear for turn signal/running lights. To fix, you need to pry off the orange lenses, grind all the pyramids on the interior surface flush using a Dremel. Then reinstall the orange lenses. THEN they will be bright at all viewing angles.
