Consistent and reliable

Consistent quality of King Arthur brand, purchased on line because it was not available on shelf.

PoorPackaging

Of course, it's bread flour and that's wonderful......but....more care has to be taken in the bag and in the carton. The bag was split down the side and there was flour all over the carton. I did my best to save most of the flour - I needed it and couldn't lose any time waiting for a replacement. Please advise shippers to give more support to the bag of 10 lb heavy flour or put the flour in a sturdier bag in the first place. Other than that, delivery was on time and everything else is good.

Original packaging destroyed, flour still viable

King Arthur flour is my go to, so this review is not about the quality of the product. I happen to be in a rural area with poor grocery coverage, so I thought I'd try ordering flour. I used to buy from Amazon, but for Amazon based reasons I wanted to try other services. The flour was packaged rather loosely in a much larger box, so the original packaging completely tore open. The seller clearly anticipated this being a possible or likely result, so the flour was tied up in a clear plastic bag that completely contained the spill. I have some glass containers large enough to store all of this flour (though I'm not looking forward to transferring it out of the bag), so this isn't a total deal breaker. It is something to keep in mind though before ordering. If the plastic bag around the original paper package was tighter and the item was given less space to bounce around in its box then maybe rupturing could be avoided.
