I love this hat! I have been looking for years for a cowboy that provides both a cooler air temperature inside the crown, as well as one that had some style and looked good. I finally found what I was looking for with this twisted weave hat by Ariat. I live in the desert, and heat is definitely an issue. The normal straw cowboy hat, for me in the summer, felt so hot I had just quit wearing them. Instead, I wear baseball caps with the cooler mesh on the back of the cap. This twisted weave hat, for me, has proven to be the answer to the hot desert heat. The hat has more ventilation holes in the crown than any hat I have seen. The design works well with helping to minimize the heat. Also, the brim and style of the hat makes it work great for keeping the sunshine under control. I am getting closer by the day to being age 70, but I still like hearing someone say, "you look great in that hat". I have gotten more compliments wearing this hat than I think I have ever received. I still like getting compliments for how I look in a hat, even at my age. Thanks to everyone at Ariat who played a part in making this hat become a reality. I truly thank each and every one of you for your contribution in getting this hat from the design, all the way to the market. Your creation has made an old man happy.
