Good enough for the price

The original part has become unavailable from BMW. It has a bead of foam to make a water seal at the bottom between the top of the firewall and the cowl. This replacement part has a long strip of foam adhered weakly, with a square profile. I worry it won't seal out water as well as the original. The clips move too freely and can fall out (frustratingly) during installation. I treated the cowl with a UV protectant to hopefully prolong its life.
