L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme Permanent Triple Protection Hair Color, 5.5N Medium Neutral Brown, 1 kit

I bought this a few weeks ago and was very excited to try it out based on the article posted by Loreal Paris on this product and this line of hair dye designed for naturally dark hair. My hair is very very dark brown, practically black and I hoped to achieve more of a true brown hair color by using the medium brown dye, however after having carefully made sure to follow all of the instructions, even one of the steps of dying your roots first though I questioned it, my hair hardly lifted as the result of using this hair dye, which is especially made to lift dark hair or so I thought. It looked very promising and in spite of not being able to find any reviews of this product before I went ahead and purchased it, I gave it the benefit of the doubt based on this brands reputation of quality and expertise. Some of my finer, baby hairs did actually change into a lighter gold like brown but everything else remained the same, if not unnoticeably different.
